Karla Elizondo and Ken on the way back to Burnet from Llano after practicing takeoffs & landings. Karla, Adolfo and their parents are visiting from Monterrey during their Spring Break holiday. Adolfo has been flying with Rick, Karla with me and Gustavo has been building his solo hours in his Carbon Cub.
Adolfo has begun his cross country and night training lesssons. Today, he and Rick will visit a nearby towered airport for some practice with ATC.
We have one more day to fly, then they will return home on Sunday.
Ken Wittekiend is an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner, professional flight instructor, aircraft owner and founder of ProMark Aviation Services, a flight training company based in Burnet, Texas.
Ken is a commercial pilot with over 11,000 hours of experience in a wide variety of general aviation aircraft. He began flying in 1970 while attending the University of Texas at Austin.
