Are you looking for an exciting new way to see the Hill Country? With our Hill Country Air Tours, you and your family will have a whole new perspective as you fly over the lakes and hills around central Texas. Historic sites, geological wonders, lakes, rivers, wildlife, wildflowers and more come into view as you soar across the Hill Country. Each trip usually lasts from 45 minutes to 1 hour. However, longer trips can be arranged. Up to 3 passengers can fly together. (Certain weight restrictions apply). Each air tour is flown by an experienced FAA Certified Commercial Pilot who is highly skilled and experienced. Depending on the number of passengers, you will either fly in our Cessna Skyhawk (up to 3 passengers) or in our Piper Super Cub (1 passenger). Both aircraft provide a clear view of the scenery below. Be sure to bring your camera. The route is up to you. You may choose to fly over Lake Buchanan past Fall Creek Winery and on up the canyons of the Colorado river including the waterfall at Fall Creek. Or, you may decide to head towards Enchanted Rock and through the rugged canyons along Sandy Creek as we pass Packsaddle Mountain where one of the last Indian battles occurred in 1873. For the more adventurous, we offer our Bush Pilot experience where you will fly low and slow in the Super Cub and as we check out the remote areas, grass runways and even some “off airport” landing sites. Either way, your Hill Country Air Tour will be the highlight of your visit to Central Texas. Reservations are recommended as we are often booked several days in advance.
